UK diva Kathy Diamond teams up with Christmas Island based duo Codebreaker for a revved up and hard-hitting collaboration on the white-hot new imprint Disco Demolition Records.
Side A's "Fire" has Kathy directing Codebreaker's groove with a commanding atmosphere & soulful attitude.
Side B's "R.I.M.L." is a modern disco anthem of sorts. By no means a trendy hipster disco cut, R.I.M.L. is an extrapolation on acts such as Chic, Donald Byrd, & GQ, but with CB's unique, dynamic 21st century stamp. Following it is a DDR extended mix of the track that lets the groove ride hard with cosmic, spaced-out excitement.
The combination of these two fine underground talents has yielded a total instant classic. Look for much more to come from Codebreaker and Disco Demolition Records in 2008 & beyond!
